Some funny or strange things about Finland: - taxes on dogs and TV-sets; - forest in the middle of the city, and a lot of wild animals from squirells till mooses and bears (moose i've seen myself, it was crossing road in the center of Espoo-city). - if u dont buy a ticket in the bus, fine is 60 euro. - if u drive a car too fast, the fine could be 31 000 euro. - saunas are everywhere, even in student's apartments - average finn stays without water in the tap 14 min/year - u can drink alcohol on the street/parks only once in a year - at 1st of May (officially of course) - u can buy strong drinks (means over 4.7%) only in state shop Alko, which is closed in evenings and sundays. | |
